Doble-A afiliado de los Cincinnati Reds jugara en el Nuevo Maritime Park de la ciudad
 Quint and Rishy Studer de Pensacola, Florida compraron los Carolina Mudcats Doble-A afiliado de los Cincinnati Reds, Los Mudcats se mudaran de Zebulon, North Carolina a Pensacola al principio del 2012. La franquicia de Pensacola se quedara en el Minor League Baseball’s Southern League. En una movida correspondiente los Kinston Indians (Class A-Advanced afiliados a los Cleveland Indians) del Carolina League se mudaran al Five County Stadium en Zebulon para la temporada del 2012. El club de los Indians Class A-Advanced mantendrá el nombre de los Carolina Mudcats.
     La nueva casa de los Reds’ Double-A affiliate estará localizada en el Maritime Park, un supremo complejo de multi uso en las orillas de la Costa del Golfo. El equipo jugara en Carolina del Norte durante la temporada del 2011antes de relocalizarse al nuevo y moderno complejo a partir de Abril del 2012.
     “La Southern League es una de las mas respetadas entre el beisbol. Con esta movida nos estamos reuniendo con varias franquicias de alto integro, incluyendo a los Mobile Bay Bears que cortésmente nos han permitido compartir su territorio y hacer esto posible para la ciudad de Pensacola. Es un honor el estar asociado con una liga que tiene el galardón de tener talentosos alumnos como Chipper Jones, Joey Votto, Alex Rodriguez, Tim Hudson and Miguel Cabrera,” dijo Quint Studer.
     Quint and Rishy Studer fueron duenos de los Pensacola Pelicanas, un equipo independiente en la asociación americana del 2001 al 2010. En orden de poder hacer la transición hacia Pensacola los Reds’ Double-A team fueron vendidos a un grupo propietario en Amarillo, Texas donde jugara el equipo durante la temporada del 2011.

Double-A Affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds Will Play in City’s New Maritime Park
Quint and Rishy Studer of Pensacola, Florida have purchased the Carolina Mudcats, the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. The Mudcats will move from Zebulon, North Carolina to Pensacola beginning in 2012. The Pensacola franchise will remain in Minor League Baseball’s Southern League. In a corresponding move, the Kinston Indians (Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) of the Carolina League will move to Five County Stadium in Zebulon for the 2012 season. The Indians Class A-Advanced club will retain the Carolina Mudcats name.
     The new home of the Reds’ Double-A affiliate will be located at Maritime Park, the premier waterfront mixed use development on the Gulf Coast. The team will play the 2011 season in North Carolina before relocating to the new state-of-the-art facility starting in April of 2012.
     “The Southern League is one of the most respected leagues within baseball. With this move we are joining several upstanding franchises, including the Mobile BayBears who graciously allowed us to share their territory to make this all possible for the City of Pensacola. It is an honor to be associated with a league that boasts talented alumni like Chipper Jones, Joey Votto, Alex Rodriguez, Tim Hudson and Miguel Cabrera,” said Quint Studer.
     Quint and Rishy Studer owned the Pensacola Pelicans, an Independent Baseball team in the American Association, from 2001 to 2010. In order to transition the Reds’ Double-A team to Pensacola in 2012, the Pelicans were sold to an ownership group in Amarillo, Texas where the team will play the 2011 season.
