Oficina del Sheriff en Okaloosa arrestan tres en obra de construcción
La Oficina del Sheriff en Okaloosa (OSCO) reporto el 16 de diciembre que tres trabajadores indocumentados fueron arrestados en la primera etapa de una investigación de fraude de identidad por empleados trabajando en una infraestructura estratégica en el Séptimo Complejo de las Fuerzas Especiales localizado en Eglin Air Force Base. Los tres hombres fueron cargados con uso fraudulento de información personal.
     El inspector de OCSO, George Collins, lanzo una investigación el pasado septiembre después del arresto a un inmigrante indocumentado trabajando en el  lugar de construcción del Séptimo Complejo de las Fuerzas Especiales. El hombre dijo a los investigadores que mas ilegales tenían empleo en el mismo sitio, la cual el Sheriff del condado de Okaloosa y el estado de la Florida consideran una infraestructura estratégica. Collins entonces coordino con el US Air Force Office of Special Investigations, US Army Criminal Investigations Division, y el US Army Corps Engineers (USACE). Sus investigaciones revelaron casi tres docenas de trabajadores indocumentados y potencialmente muchos mas estaba siendo pagados sus nominas con el uso de seguro sociales falso, robados, o ficticios. OCSO dice que la investigación es continua y cargos adicionales han de ser esperados.
     La oficina del sheriff concluye con la siguiente declaración: “Esta investigación apoya directamente a la promesa del Sheriff Ashley con su declaración de combatir la inmigración ilegal utilizando las leyes existentes y los recursos locales.

Okaloosa Sheriff’s Office Arrests Three on Construction Site
    The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) reported on December 16 that three undocumented workers were arrested in the first stage of an investigation into suspected identity fraud by employees working on critical infrastructure at the 7th Special Forces Complex on Eglin Air Force Base. The three men were charged with fraudulent use of personal information.
    OCSO inspector, George Collins, launched the investigation last September after a deputy arrested an undocumented immigrant working at the 7th Special Forces Group construction site.  The man told investigators other illegal aliens were also employed at the site, which the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and state of Florida consider “critical infrastructure.” Collins then coordinated with the of U-S Air Force Office of Special Investigations, U-S Army Criminal Investigations Division, and the U-S Army Corps Engineers (USACE). Their investigation revealed nearly three dozen undocumented workers, and potentially many more, were on the payroll with false, stolen, or fictitious social security numbers. OCSO says the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
     The sheriff’s office report concluded with the following statement: “This investigation directly supports Sheriff Ashley’s pledge and commitment to combat illegal immigration using existing state laws and local resources.”
