Nuevo Alguacil de OCSO Larry Ashley es Juramentado
El Recién electo Alguacil del Condado de Okaloosa, Larry Ashley, fué juramentado el Lunes por la tarde durante una ceremonia en Northwest Florida Fairgrounds. Ashley es el primer Alguacil de Okaloosa electo dentro de las filas de la agencia, habiendo empezado en OCSO en 1990 y elevado a Chief Deputy bajo el anterior Alguacil, Ed Spooner.
    El Alguacil Ashley dice que él enfocará numerosas metas, incluyendo mantener la Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation obtenida por primera vez en Julio, consolidando comunicaciones para ahorrar dinero a los contribuyentes e implementando estándares de salud física para oficiales jurados.
    El título Chief Deputy ha sido eliminado y reemplazado con Undersheriff.  El nuevo Undersheriff es el anterior Agente Especial en Cargo para Eglin Air Force Base´s Office of Special Investigations, Don Adams. Undersheriff Adams es también un anterior Deputy del Condado de Okaloosa.
    Como parte de esta reorganización, Ashley ha efectivamente eliminado una posición mayor y aumentado el número de Capitanes de 5 a 6. Al anunciar  su nuevo Command Staff (Personal de Comando), Ashley notó que cada miembro jurado ha empezado como diputado de patrulla de caminos del OCSO y tiene un compromiso muy porfundo con el área local con una vasta experiencia y conocimiento local.
     El Alguacil Ashley quiere que la agencia se enfoque en su misión común de servir al público a travez de un propósito unido y enfático, actuando con honradez e imparcialidad, siendo responsable y transparente y demostrando respeto para los cuidadanos y el privilegio de enforzar la ley.

New OCSO Sheriff Larry Ashley Sworn-In
Newly elected Okaloosa County Sheriff Larry Ashley was sworn-in Monday afternoon during a ceremony at the Northwest Florida Fairgrounds. Ashley becomes the first Okaloosa Sheriff elected from within the agency’s ranks, having started at the OCSO in 1990 and risen to Chief Deputy under former Sheriff Ed Spooner.
     Sheriff Ashley says he will focus on numerous goals, to include maintaining the Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation first achieved in July, consolidating communications to save taxpayers money, and implementing physical fitness standards for sworn officers.
     The title Chief Deputy has been eliminated and replaced with Undersheriff. The new Undersheriff is former Special Agent in Charge for Eglin Air Force Base’s Office of Special Investigations, Don Adams. Undersheriff Adams is also a former Okaloosa County Deputy.
     As part of his reorganization, Ashley has effectively eliminated one Major position and boosted the number of Captains from five to six. In announcing his new Command Staff, Ashley noted that every sworn member has started as a road patrol deputy for the OCSO and has a deep-rooted commitment to the local area with vast local experience and knowledge.
     Sheriff Ashley says he wants the agency to focus on its common mission of serving the public through unity of purpose, an emphasis on acting with honesty and fairness, being accountable and transparent, and demonstrating respect for both citizens and the privilege of enforcing the law.
