Mobile Bay CVB Anuncia Conferencia Internacional Multimillonaria para el 2014
El Centro de Convenciones y el Buro de Visitantes de la ciudad de Mobile anuncia que será la anfitriona al decimotercio World Leisure Congress del 6 al 12 de Septiembre 2014. Es la primera vez que el congreso anual se llevará acabo en los Estados Unidos. Mobile competió a nivel internacional por el puesto ganándole a Melbourne, Australia por  el honor y oportunidad de anfitrionar este importante evento.
     El objetivo del World Leisure Congress es de unir los académicos, educadores, estudiantes, científicos, profesionales, oficial gobernativos con representantes de agencias no-gubernamentales en el campo de recreación, turismo y deportes. Estudiaran problemas académicos, sociales, industriales y políticos. El tema será prontamente anunciado.
     El congreso atraerá aproximadamente 4,500 miembros y sus invitados. Todo continente del mundo estará representado. El potencial de ingresos para la Bahía de Mobile es de 20 millones razón cual el Centro de Convenciones y la Agencia del Visitante ha trabajado ardorosamente para asegurar el contrato. “Los hoteles, restaurantes,  y el comercio en general recibirá el efecto positivo que una conferencia de esta magnitud atrae dice Leon Maciel, Presidente y CEO del MBCVB.
     Durante la conferencia del Congreso de Recreo el enfoque será basado en 15 temas. Por ejemplo Armonización de la vida y trabajo, Recreación cibernética, Recreo y cultura, Comportamientos durante la recreación.
     “Estamos muy orgullosos de ser la primera cuidad en los Estados Unidos que el World Leisure Congress visita”, comenta el alcalde de Mobile , Sam Jones “Esto es una oportunidad especial y un privilegio. La gran ciudad de Mobile tendrá el honor y placer de ser anfitriona durante la conferencia del 2014 y les vamos a ensenar todas las cosas maravillosa de nuestro pueblo y áreas cercanas”.
     El Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convención Center será el lugar donde se llevaran a cabo los grupos de enfoque para los negocios, exhibiciones y entrenamientos.  Habrá excursiones y actividades para los participantes en el Condado de Mobile y área cercanas.

Mobile Bay CVB Announces International Multi-million Dollar Convention for 2014 
The Mobile Bay Convention & Visitors Bureau (MBCVB) has announced that the City of Mobile will host the 13th annual World Leisure Congress on September 6-12, 2014.  This is the first time that the Congress will be held in the United States.  Mobile competed on an international level, ultimately beating out Melbourne, Australia in order to have the honor and opportunity to host this groundbreaking event.
     World Leisure Congress aims to bring together academics, educators, students, researchers, professionals, government officials and representatives from non-governmental organizations in the field of leisure, recreation, tourism and sports to discuss the academic, social, industrial and political issues, and concerns around a soon-to-be-announced theme.
     The Congress will bring close to 4,500 members and guests from every continent to Mobile for the weeklong event.  With an estimated economic impact of approximately $20 million, the Mobile Bay Convention & Visitors Bureau team has been working on booking this event for quite some time. 
     Leon Maisel, President and CEO of the MBCVB, remarked “The positive effect of a gathering of this magnitude will touch everything from hotels, retail shops, restaurants and more in our area.” 
     During the World Leisure Congress, around 15 focused subjects will be approached; these include topics such as Work Life Harmonization, Leisure and Life Course, Cyber Leisure, Leisure and Globalization, Leisure Behavior, Leisure and Society, Leisure and Tourism, Leisure and Sports, Leisure and Culture, Leisure and Policy, Leisure and Gender, Leisure Consumption and the Leisure Industry, Leisure and Technology/Science, Leisure and Psychology. 
     Mobile Mayor, Sam Jones, states, “It is a tremendous opportunity and privilege to be able to host the 2014 World Leisure Congress in the great city of Mobile.  This is a paramount event not only for Mobile, but for the entire United States.  We are thrilled to be their first U.S. destination and excited to show off all that the Mobile area has to offer in 2014.”
     The Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center will be the site of the group’s business sessions, exhibits and training sessions.  Attendees will also be treated to numerous excursions and activities throughout Mobile County and the surrounding area.
