Mes del Patrimonio Hispano en la Costa del Golfo
El mes del Patrimonio Hispano es un periodo cuando la Comunidad Latina se reune a compartir sus diversas culturas y tradiciones. En la Costa del Golfo, festivales con tema Latino ofrecen diversión para toda la familia como el Hispanic Heritage Festival del 2 de Octubre en el Campo de la Feria en Fort Walton Beach y el Latino Festival en Bayview Park en Pensacola el 16 de Octubre. Los dos eventos empiezan a las 10 de la mañana.

En este ejemplar, varias actividades y caracteristicas de ambos festivales están catalogados incluyendo música, presentaciones de baile, juegos, actividades y platillos de muchos paises Latinos. Las vistas, sonidos y sabores son un placer para cualquiera que quiera aprender o rememorar. Con las luchas que la Costa del Golfo ha enfrentado en este último año, los festivales quieren traer una nueva y fresca celebración mientras apoyan a algunos negocios y talentos favoritos locales.

Eventos presentados por Latino Media no son los únicos festivales Latinos en el área. Latino Media/La Costa Latina está orgullosa de patrocinar y apoyar otros eventos incluyendo el Hispanic Festival en Tallahassee en St. Louis Church (en Fred George y Old Bainbridge Road) de las 10 a.m. hasta las 4 p.m., la celebración del Dia de La Raza en Foley, Alabama en Heritage Park, el 17 de Octubre y el “Latin Jam Festival” 2010 en Seville Square in Pensacola, el 23 de Octubre. Este año, Latino Media también está apoyando Peace Fest, programada para el 23 de Octubre en Bayview Park.

El 9 de octubre, Latino Media recibirán la proclamación hispánica oficial del mes de la herencia del tablero del condado de Escambia de comisiones del condado. La presentación ocurrirá en la reunión del Consejo de la comisión que comienza a las 5:30 P.M. Se invita al público que atienda.

Hispanic Heritage Month on the Gulf Coast
Hispanic Heritage Month is a time when the Latino community gathers to share our varied cultures and traditions. In the Gulf Coast, Latino themed festivals offer fun for the whole family with the Hispanic Heritage Festival on October 2 at the fairgrounds in Fort Walton Beach and the Latino Festival at Bayview Park in Pensacola on October 16. Both events start at 10 a.m.

Throughout this issue, various activities and features of both festivals are listed including music, dance performances, games, activities, and foods from multiple Latino countries. The sights, sounds and flavors are a treat for anyone who wants to learn or reminisce. With the struggles the Gulf Coast has faced in the last year, the festivals aim to bring a fresh new celebration while supporting some local favorite businesses and talent.

Events hosted by Latino Media are not the only Latino festivals in the area. Latino Media/La Costa Latina is proud to sponsor and support other events including the Hispanic Festival in Tallahassee at St. Louis Church (located at Fred George and Old Bainbridge Road) from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., the Dia De La Raza celebration in Foley, Alabama at Heritage Park, October 17 and the Latin “Jam Festival” 2010 at Seville Square in Pensacola, October 23.
