Miss Foley Latina: Keyla Morales
FOLEY-- El 17 de Octubre, el Latino Student Club de Foley High School coronó a la nueva Miss Foley Latina en el Festival del Dia de La Raza, en Foley, Al.  Keyla Morales tomará las obligaciones como Miss Foley Latina que previamente tenia Danielle Morales (no hay parentesco) las cuales incluyen  representación en el Desfile de Navidad y publicidad para el club y una opportunidad de hablar en el banquete de fin de año.

Keyla tiene 16 años  y estudia el noveno grado. Disfruta de jugar soccer y dice que su héroe es su mejor amigo, Greg, porque él es siempre está ahi cuando ella lo necesita.  Su clase favorita es Matemáticas.

Como parte de la competencia se les preguntó, “A las concursantes de los muchos y excelentes valores que tiene la populación Latina, cual es el más fuerte? Como puede esto ser usado para guiar a los Latinos en los Estados Unidos en el futuro?" Keyla contestó "Nosotros los Latinos, sabemos hablar dos idiomas que podemos usar en varias cosas como escuela, trabajos y carreras que queremos hacer. Es más fácil obtener un trabajo si sabe dos idiomas.  En La escuela podemos ayudar a otros estudiantes que no pueden hablar Inglés." Felicitaciones Keyla!

El club tiene 30 miembros y está en su segundo año y tiene miembros de México, Guatemala, Honduras, Panamá, Brasil, El Salvador y los Estados Unidos.

Miss Foley Latina: Keyla Morales
FOLEY—On October 17, the Latino Student Club at Foley High School crowned the new Miss Foley Latina at the Dia De La Raza Festival in Foley, AL. Keyla Morales will take over the duties as Miss Foley Latina previously held by Danielle Morales (no relation) which include representation at the Foley Christmas parade and club publicity, and a speaking opportunity at an end-of-the-year banquet.

Keyla is 16 years old and in the ninth grade. She enjoys playing soccer and says her hero is her best friend Greg because he is always there when she needs him. Her favorite class is Mathematics.

As part of the competition, contestants were asked, “From many excellent strengths of the Latino population, what is its greates strength? How can this be usedto guide Latinos in the U.S. in the future?” Keyla answered, “We Latinos know how to speak two languages that we can use for many things like school, work, and the career of our choice. It is easier to obtain work if you know two languages. In School we can help other students that cannot speak English.” Congratulations Keyla!

The 30-member club is in its second year and has had members from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Brazil, El Salvador, and the U.S
