Los Tigres del Norte y Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más se unen para producir ‘Los Tigres del Norte and Friends: MTV Unplugged’

Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más (anteriormente MTV Tr3s) anunció que Los Tigres del Norte, se unirán a la lista de espectaculares actuaciones de la celebrada serie “MTV Unplugged”. “Los Tigres del Norte and Friends: MTV Unplugged” se grabará en Los Ángeles en el primer trimestre del 2011, y el especial hará su estreno por Tr3s, MTV & VH1 Latinoamérica y MTV España.

“Los Tigres del Norte and Friends: MTV Unplugged” incluirá la presentación de Juanes, Calle 13, Zack de la Rocha (Rage Against the Machine/One Day as a Lion)
y Andres Calamaro, como artistas invitados, quienes sumarán su talento a éxitos de Los Tigres del Norte como: “La Puerta Negra”, “Lágrimas del Corazón”, “Golpes en el Corazón”, “Señor Locutor”, “La Jaula
de Oro” y “América”. El grupo ganador de multiples premios Grammy(R) también compartirá su mensaje de paz con la canción “Perdona mi Canto”.

Juanes comento “Los Tigres son el Rock de la Raza. Es un honor estar con ellos en este ‘Unplugged’. Me fascina su música, su actitud y toda su carrera.” Juanes se ha convertido en uno de los más prominentes artistas de la música latina a través del mundo en la última década. Su nombre es mencionado entre artistas de la talla de Bono y Bruce Springsteen por su creencia en la posibilidad del cambio social a través de la música. Con la venta de más de 15 millones de discos y varios premios Grammy(R) y Latin Grammy(R), el
nuevo álbum de Juanes, P.A.R.C.E., ya está recibiendo elogios y encabezando las listas de Billboard. El primer sencillo del álbum, “Yerbatero” (cual se presentó a una audiencia global durante la Copa Mundial) ha alcanzado

Zack de la Rocha, conocido como el escritor y el vocalista del grupo Rage Against The Machine, es un músico norteamericano, un poeta y un activista de descendencia mexicana, alemán e irlandés. Zack ha
dedicado la mayoría de su vida adulta al movimiento revolucionario para la reforma social, política y étnica para las minorías. Utilizando música como su plataforma de cambio, el vocalista ganador de un Grammy de la banda multi-platino de rock Rage Against The Machine y One Day As A Lion, ha organizado campañas como The Sound Strike, contra la ley inmigratoria en Arizona SB1070, y es un gran auspiciante de United Farm Workers y el National Day Laborer Organizing Network.

Desde sus comienzos como tecladista de la banda Raices, cuando apenas tenía 17 años, hasta su exitosa carrera como solista, Andres Calamaro se ha convertido en uno de los máximos exponentes del rock en español.

Tr3s: MTV, Musica y Mas (formerly MTV Tr3s)
announced that the legends of Regional Mexican music, Los Tigres del Norte, will join the list of spectacular performances for the critically-acclaimed“MTV Unplugged” series. The “Los Tigres del Norte and Friends: MTV Unplugged” is set to tape in Los Angeles in the fi rst quarter of 2011. The special will air on Tr3s, MTV & VH1 Latin America and MTV
Spain.

“Los Tigres del Norte and Friends: MTV
Unplugged” will feature Juanes, Calle 13, Zack de la Rocha (Rage Against the Machine/One Day as a Lion) and Andres Calamaro, among others, who will join the group for an intimate performance of some of their greatest hits including “La Puerta Negra”, “Lagrimas del Corazon”, “Golpes en el Corazon”, “Senor
Locutor”, “La Jaula de Oro” and “America”, among many others. The multiple Grammy award-winning group will also embrace a message of peace with a performance of “Perdonen mi Canto”.

vocalist of Rage Against The Machine, is an American musician, poet and activist of Mexican, German and Irish descent.
