¿Cuales son mis opciones en cuanto al reclamo del Derrame de Petróleo?

Primero, recuerda que todavía puedes aplicar. El 23 de Noviembre no fue el último día. Segundo, si ya aplicaste y recibiste tu primer cheque o fuiste negado, todavía puedes poner tu segundo reclamo. British Petroleum (BP) se ha comprometido a compensar todo individuo, empresa, institución privadas y gubernamental, etc, que se vió afectada negativamente a razón del derrame por los próximos 3 años. Así que si todavía estas sufriendo perdidas por culpa del Derrame de Petróleo, no dudes en poner tu reclamo.
     Hayas sido aprobado o no, recibirás un paquete en el correo con instrucciones y subsecuentes aplicaciones. Si fuiste aprobado, tienes la opción de asentar tu caso, una vez y para siempre, firmando el Quick Payment y aceptando a cambio $5000/individuos o $25000/empresas para cerrar tu boca por siempre. Esta aplicación es final e irreversible.
     Si fuiste negado el fondo de emergencia inicial o sietes que todavía no has recibido una compensación debida por tus perdidas, puedes aplicar por el Reclamo Intermedio o Reclamo Final. El Reclamo Intermedio te permite aplicar cada trimestre por los próximos 3 años. La aplicación final te permite hacer una proyección de tus perdidas por los próximos 3 años y recibir una suma única por ello. En ambos casos tienes que suplir pruebas por tu reclamo.
     A fin de cuentas, no olvides que tienes derecho a esta compensación independientemente de tu estatus migratorio. Puedes aplicar con tu ITIN. Y para concluir, si todavía estas sufriendo a causa del derrame, no dejes pasar la oportunidad de ser compensado por la misma.

What are my options concerning the BP Claim?

     If you have not applied, you are still on time to do so. If you already applied whether approved or denied, you can still place your claim. British Petroleum (BP) has committed itself to compensate every person, business and institution that was detrimentally affected by the Oil Spill for the next 3 years. Therefore, if you are still suffering losses as the result of the Spill, do not hesitate to put your claim
     Whether you were approved or denied, you will receive a package in the mail with further claim applications. If you were approved you have the option to settle your claim, once and forever, by signing the Quick Final Payment of $5000/individual or $25000/businesses without having to supply any further documentation. This application is final and irreversible.
     If you were denied the initial emergency fund or approved but feel that the emergency fund did not cover all your losses, you can still apply either for the Interim Payment or Final Payment. The Interim claim allows you to file for compensation every quarter for the next 3 years. The final claim allows you to make a projection of all the losses you expect to incurred as a result of the Oil Spill and be compensated in one single lump sum. In both cases, you must supply evidence of your claims.
     In any case, do not forget that you are entitled to this claim regardless of you immigration status. You can apply with your ITIN. And finally, if you are hurting because of the Spill, do not let this opportunity go by.
