El Transporte Publico, Santa Rosa Transit Ofrece Mejores Rutas a Partir de el 20 de Junio
Mejoras a las rutas de Santa Rosa Transit incluyendo nuevas paradas y horarios van a comenzar el 20 de Junio. La nueva guía de pasajeros esta disponible en 
oficinas de el condado y de la comunidad ó puede verla via internet en www.santarosa.fl.gov/tansit

  • La implementeción de cinco nuevas paradas sobre el U.S. Highway 90: Sacred Heart Medical Park, Grocery Outlet, Chantilly Place, Emerald Sands Inn and Richburg Street.
  • La cancelación de la parada en Ridge Cinema, aún hay una parada a lado en Walmart.
  • Mejorado el tiempo en las conecciónes entre Escambia County Transit System en las calles University Park y 9-mile.
  • Ajustes pequeños en el tiempo de cada parada para acomodar las nuevas paradas.
  • El horario festivo actualizado para incluir, New Year's Day, martin Luther King Jr. Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Deacuerdo con Nancy Model, La Planificadora de Santa Rosa County Transit, las mejoras fueron impulsadas por los usuarios, "Tratamos de cumplir con las mas peticiones posibles de nuevas paradas teniendo en consideración la seguridad y los horarios. Cada petición de el publico es importante. Por ejemplo, en la nueva parada en Chantilly Place se encuentra la Workforce Escarosa y otros negociós."
El servicio publico de transporte  Santa Rosa Transit mayormente corre sobre el U.S. Hwy. 90 y el Santa Rosa Industrial Park y a una conneccion con el sistema de  Escambia County Area Transit en las calles Nine Mile  y University Parkway. Este servicio esta diseñado primordialmente para los residentes con 
      El servicio de Santa Rosa Transit es proporcionado con la cooperacion de Santa Rosa Board of Conty Commissioners, Pensacola Bay Transportation LLC, Florida - Alabama Transportation Planning Organization, y la Federal Transit Administration.  El condado de Santa Rosa es el manejador del projecto, la Florida - Alabama Transportation Planning Organization proporciono los autobuses y reciben beca federal, y Pensaola Bay Transportation LLC son los operadores.

Santa Rosa Transit Offers Improved Route Effective June 20
Improvements to Santa Rosa Transit, including new stops and a revised schedule, will begin on Monday, June 20.  A new ride guide is available at county and community offices or online at www.santarosa.fl.gov/transit. Changes to the transit program include:

  • Addition of five new bus stops along U.S. Highway 90:  Sacred Heart Medical Park, Grocery Outlet, Chantilly Place, Emerald Sands Inn and Richburg Street. 
  • Deletion of the stop at Ridge Cinema, bus stop is still located next door at the Walmart.
  • Improved connection times with Escambia County Transit System at University Parkway and 9-mile Road.
  • Minor adjustments in stop times to accommodate new stops
  • Revised the holiday schedule to include New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
According to Nancy Model, Santa Rosa County Transit Planner, the improvements were user driven, “We tried to accommodate as many requests for new bus stops as possible with consideration for safety and scheduling.  Each request from the public was significant.  For instance, the new Chantilly Place stop is the location of Workforce Escarosa and several businesses.”
     Santa Rosa Transit is a pilot public transportation program mainly along U.S. Hwy. 90, from the Santa Rosa Industrial Park to a connection to the Escambia County Area Transit system at Nine Mile Road and University Parkway.  The bus service is primarily designed to help residents with transportation needs to and from work, but also helps provide access to medical services, shopping and government offices throughout the day.
     Santa Rosa Transit service is provided through cooperation of the Santa Rosa Board of County Commissioners, Pensacola Bay Transportation LLC, the Florida – Alabama Transportation Planning Organization, and the Federal Transit Administration.  Santa Rosa County is the project manager, the Florida – Alabama Transportation Planning Organization procured the buses and is the federal grant recipient, and Pensacola Bay Transportation LLC is the operator.
