Gulf Power Pide a Residentes Estar en Alerta a Impostores
Impostores han victimizado a residentes del Noreste de Florida al hacerse pasar por   empleados de la compañía de utilidades.
     Gulf Power ha recibido llamadas en las últimas semanas por clientes que han sido llamados por alguien diciendo ser empleado de Gulf Power. El llamante les dijo que su cuenta de electricidad estaba retrasada y que la electricidad sería desconectada si el cliente no le proveía un pago por medio de una tarjeta de crédito al instante. Los números de tarjetas son usados inmediatamente para compras fraudulentas.
     Para prevenir que esto le ocurra a usted, por favor recuerde lo siguiente:
·  Empleados de Gulf Power nunca llaman a un cliente a su hogar para pedir información personal, esto incluye numero de tarjeta de crédito.
·  Los representantes de Gulf Power nunca le pedirán dinero cuando visitan una residencia.
·  Todos los representantes de Gulf Power llevan consigo su carnet con fotografía indentificatoria que incluye su nombre y nombre de la compañía con el logotipo de la empresa.
    Clientes deben llamar a Gulf Power al 1-800-225-5797 si tienen alguna pregunta sobre la identidad de cualquiera que este representando a Gulf Power.

Scam artists have victimized residents in Northwest Florida recently by impersonating utility company employees.
     Gulf Power has received calls in the past few weeks from customers being contacted by someone posing as a Gulf Power employee. The caller tells the victim that their electricity bill is past due and that electricity will be cut off if the customer does not provide a credit card payment immediately. The card numbers are then used to make fraudulent purchases.
     To prevent this from happening to you, please remember the following:
· Gulf Power employees will never call a customer at home seeking any personal information including credit card numbers.
·   Gulf Power representatives will never ask a customer for money when they visit a residence.
·   All Gulf Power representatives carry badges with picture identification that includes the employee’s name and the company’s name and logo.
     Customers should call Gulf Power at 1-800-225-5797 if they have any questions about the identity of anyone representing Gulf Power.
     Gulf Power is working with local law enforcement agencies to identify the callers. Please call local law enforcement and contact Gulf Power at 1-800-225-5797 if you have received a call asking for personal information about your Gulf Power account.
