Heroe Nacional de Guerra, Comandante Everett Alvarez, Jr. en el National Naval Aviation Museum
Pensacola, Fl.- 22 de octubre, 2011-Como parte del Centenario de la Aviación Naval, la Fundación del Museo de Aviación Naval presentará “Discovery Saturday” con un Héroe Nacional de Guerra y pasado Comandante Naval Everett Álvarez, Jr. a las 10 a.m. el sabado, 22 de octubre en el National Naval Aviation Museum.
El Comandante Álvarez fue el primer piloto naval de ser derribado sobre el Norte de Vietnam y hablará sobre su experiencia de ser Prisionero de Guerra durante la guerra de Vietnam. En su poderosa presentación, Álvarez relatará sobre su historia de captura y resistencia física, mental y espiritual la cual lo llevo a su repatriación después de casi nuevo años de cautividad. Álvarez firmará su libro, Chained Eagle (Águila Encadenada), después de su presentación, auspiciado por Grantham University.

Pensacola, Fla.–October 13, 2011–As part of the Centennial of Naval Aviation, the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation will present “Discovery Saturday” with National War Hero and former Navy Commander Everett Alvarez, Jr., at 10 a.m. on Sat., Oct. 22 at the National Naval Aviation Museum.
Commander Alvarez, the first Navy pilot shot down over North Vietnam, will speak on his experiences as a Prisoner of War during the Vietnam War. In his powerful presentation, Alvarez will relate the story of his capture and physical, mental and spiritual endurance which led to his repatriation after nearly nine years of captivity. Alvarez will sign his book, Chained Eagle, following his presentation sponsored by Grantham University.
“Discovery Saturday” is FREE and open to the public. The National Naval Aviation Museum features FREE admission and a full slate of events throughout the year.
