Donación de Colchas para Soldados
El Flying Needles Quilt Guild auspiciara el taller Quilt of Valor de  9 a.m. a 2:00 p.m. el 27 de octubre en el Niceville Church of Christ, 801 E. John Sims Parkway,  localizado  directamente al cruzar de la Niceville High School. La meta anual del gremio es de hacer 12 Colchas de Valor, en adición de docenas de mantos y cientos de medias Navideñas caritativas para niños. Colcheros (quilters) interesados deberían asistir el taller y pueden contactar FNQG@cox.net para más información.
      Las donaciones de Quilts of Valor van al Quilt of Valor Foundation (QOVF) a nivel nacional para distribución, las colchas son  para los hombres y mujeres de servicio militar que han sido impactados por la guerra. La elaboración es manual y son de alta calidad. Las colchas están hechas por miembros del gremio en varios tonos de rojo, blanco y azul con un tamaño de 54 por 67 pulgadas. Las colchas son un mensaje tangible de consuelo y apoyo para soldados heridos. Se distribuyen por el coordinador regional del Air Force Recovery Care, Michael Mack o por QOVF a personal militar o veteranos. Cada colchas (quilt) es presentado con una cubierta coordinada y un diario con comentarios y fotos del proceso de la elaboración de la colcha.
      Durante el 2010 y 2011 el gremio ha donado 14 colchas al Returning Warrior Workshops (RWW) auspiciado por el Navy and Marine Corp en Pensacola y Puerto Rico.
Los Flying Needles Quilt Guild es una organización 503 c (3). Donaciones para asistir con las obras de caridad pueden ser mandadas a Flying Needle Quilt Guild, P.O. Box 1652  Niceville,  Florida, 32588.  Donaciones pueden ser designadas al Quilts for Valor o las obras caritativas para niños. Los miembros del gremio se reúnen cada segundo jueves del mes a las 9:30 a.m. en Niceville Church of Christ para una reunión de negocios y evento social. Quilts are Donated to Servicemen & Woman

The Flying Needles Quilt Guild will host a Quilt of Valor workshop from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on October 27 at the Niceville Church of Christ, 801 E. John Sims Parkway, located directly across from Niceville High School. The Guild's annual goal is to make 12 Quilts of Valor, in addition to dozens of lap quilts and hundreds of Christmas stockings given to children’s charities. Interested quilters are encouraged to attend the workshop, and may contact FNQG@cox.net for more information.
     Quilts of Valor are donated to the national Quilt of Valor Foundation (QOVF) for distribution of heirloom-quality quilts to service men and women impacted by war. Quilts are made by guild members in various shades of red, white and blue to a size of 54 by 67 inches. Quilts are a tangible message of comfort and support for the wounded, and are distributed by the regional Air Force Recovery Care Coordinator, Michael Mack or through the QOVF to military personnel or veterans. Each quilt is presented in a matching fabric case with a written journal of quilters’ comments and photos of the quilt-making process.
     In 2010 and 2011, the Guild donated 14 quilts to Returning Warrior Workshops (RWW), hosted by the Navy and Marine Corps, in Pensacola and Puerto Rico.
