Alerta a los votantes: Registración por correo no solicitada
Residentes del condado de Okaloosa deben estar pendientes a registraciónes al votante no solicitadas. Los supervisores de la oficina de elecciónes recibieron notificación de la División de Elecciones de la Florida que una organización de  tercer partido esta conduciendo un registro de votantes por correo a través del estado.
    La organización Voter Participation Center condujo una campaña similar en el 2008 que causó considerable confusión para algunos votantes-muchos cuales ya estaban registrados. Este vez su meta es llegar a votantes que se han mudado de un condado a otro en la Florida desde la última elección.
     Votantes jóvenes y primerizos que serán elegibles  para votar en el 2012 también puede que reciban este formulario por correo.
     Votantes desando saber cual es su estado de votante deben visitar la pagina de internet de Supervisor of Election  www.govote-okaloosa.com, y busque bajo Voters Lookup Tool para verificar su dirección y corregirla si es necesario. También puede utilizar esta pagina para pedir y localizar su cedula de votación ausente.

Voter Alert: Unsolicited Registration Mailings
Okaloosa County residents should be on the lookout for unsolicited mailings prompting voter registration. The Supervisor of Elections office received notice from the Florida Division of Elections of a third-party organization conducting a mail-based voter registration drive in state.
     The Voter Participation Center organization conducted a similar drive in 2008 and caused considerable confusion for some voters—many of whom were already registered. This new mailing will target voters who have moved from one Florida county to another since the last election. First-time young voters eligible to vote in the 2012 elections may also be targeted.
     Voters concerned about their status are encouraged to check their voter registration status using the Supervisor of Elections’ online Voter Lookup Tool. The tool can be found at www.govote-okaloosa.com and allows voters to not only verify their address, but also update their address if needed. The tool can also be used to request and track absentee ballots.
