Investigadores buscan a sospechoso de disparos
La Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Okaloosa emitió esta noche una orden de arresto a un hombre de Fort Walton Beach por intento de asesinato, robo y posesión de un arma de fuego por un criminal condenado.
     Los investigadores están buscando a un hombre de 36 años de edad, Joe "J" Fernández, ex residente de Miami Beach, en relación con el tiroteo anoche de Sheffield Tamera, de 32 años, en la intersección de Thornhill Road y la Avenida Sur.
     Se cree que Fernández está en la compañía de Kiera Bethune, de 21 años de edad, de Fort Walton Beach, que ahora está como desaparecida y posiblemente corriendo peligro.
     Los investigadores dicen que la pareja podría estar viajando en un Hyundai de color gris, cuatro puertas, con licencia de la Florida placa 957 OJH, robado de Crestview.
     Sheffield dijo a los investigadores de Okaloosa que Fernández es un conocido de él, que condujo hasta la casa (de la chica) en Thornhill Road, donde le pidió dinero prestado, y luego le exigió dinero en efectivo. Cuando ella se negó, él le disparó varias veces.
     Después del tiroteo, a continuación, Fernández regresó a su coche y huyó. El coche fue recuperado posteriormente por la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Okaloosa en Greenwood Avenue.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office tonight issued warrants charging a Fort Walton Beach man with attempted murder, robbery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
     Investigators are seeking 36-year old Joe “J” Fernandez, formerly of Miami Beach, in connection with last night’s shooting of 32-year old Tamera Sheffield at the intersection of Thornhill Road and South Avenue.
     Fernandez is believed to be in the company of 21-year old Kiera Bethune of Fort Walton Beach, who is now listed as missing and possibly endangered.
     Investigators say the pair could be traveling in a gray, four-door Hyundai with Florida license tag 957 OJH, stolen out of Crestview.
     Sheffield told Okaloosa investigators that Fernandez is an acquaintance who drove up to her home on Thornhill Road, asked to borrow money, and then demanded her cash. When she refused, he shot her multiple times.
     After the shooting, Fernandez then got back in his car and fled. The car was later recovered by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office on Greenwood Avenue.
