Estudios Latinos Prohibidos en Arizona: Caravana Organizada para Contrabandear los Libros Prohibidos a Arizona!
Muchas personas no saben que los estudios Latinos han sido prohibidos en Arizona, el mismo estado que instigó las leyes migratorias. Una organización literaria sin fines de lucro, en Texas, llamada ''Nuestra Palabra: Latino Writers Having Their Say'': está encabezando ''The Librotraficantes Banned Book  Caravan'' desde Houston a Tucson, Arizona el Lunes 12 de Marzo, la cual culminará el Sabado 17 de Marzo en Tucson, Arizona.
    La caravana estará repleta de autores y activistas que llevarán libros prohibidos para repartirlos en Arizona. El bus estará lleno de autores que han sido prohibidos, autores nuevos, asi como otros defensores preocupados por preservar los derechos del (First Amendment) Primera Enmienda de Protection de Igualdad y Libertad de Palabra.
    La Caravana hará paradas en Texas, Nuevo México y, desde luego, en Arizona. Más paradas pueden ser añadidas.
    Los autores prohibidos han adoptado la caravana y participarán durante la semana, incluyendo a la receptora del  McaArthur Genius, Sandra Cisneros, quien también lanzó los esfuerzos para recaudar fondos con una generosa donación; Guggenheim Fellow Dagoberto Gilg, cuyo trabajo apareció recientemente en las revistas New York y Harpers, al mismo tiempo; y el autor de superventas, Luis Alberto Urrea, quien fué el primero en apoyar entusiásticamente el proyecto por Twitter.

Many people are not aware that Latino Studies have been banned in Arizona, the same state that instigated state immigration laws. A literary nonprofit organization in Texas called “Nuestra Palabra: Latino Writers Having Their Say” is spearheading “The Librotraficantes Banned Book Caravan” from Houston to Tucson, Arizona l on Monday, March 12 and culminating in Tucson, Arizona Saturday, March 17.
     The caravan will be filled with authors and activists who will be taking banned books back into Arizona, to give away. The bus will be filled with authors who were banned, new authors, as well as other advocates concerned with preserving First Amendment rights of Equal Protection and Freedom of Speech.
     The Caravan will be making stops in Texas, New Mexico, and, of course, Arizona. More stops may be added.
     Banned authors have embraced the caravan and will participate throughout the week, including Mac Arthur Genius recipient Sandra Cisneros - who also kicked off fundraising efforts by making a generous donation; Guggenheim Fellow Dagoberto Gilb, whose work also recently appeared in the New Yorker and Harpers magazines at the same time; and best selling author Luis Alberto Urrea, who was the first to enthusiastically support the project through Twitter.
