Southwest  Airlines y Air Trans Airways Confirman Planes de Mantener Operaciones de Air Trans en 22 Aeropuertos Domésticos e Internacionales
Southwest Airlines (NYSE:LUV) y su afiliada, Air Trans Airways, confirmaron hoy la intenciónn de convertir eventualmente, las operaciones de Air Trans Airways en 22 aeropuertos domésticos e internacionales a la direccion de Southwest.
     Los 22 aeropuertos de Air Trans que continuarán operando y eventualmente se unirán al mapa de rutas de Southwest incluyen Pensacola, Fla. (PNS), Punta Cana, República Dominicana (PUJ), Cancún, México (CUN) y San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU).  Los servicios y empleados en estos aeropuertos se incorporarán gradualmente sobre el curso de la integración a Southwest. Anteriormente las aerolíneas anunciaron que Air Trans empezará servicio a la Ciudad de México, México (MEX) el 24 de Mayo de 2012 y a San José Cabo, México (SJD) el 3 de Junio, 2012.  Estas rutas también pasarán a Southwest en el futuro.
     De las 69 rutas que Air Trans servia cuando Southwest la adquirió el 2 de Mayo, 2011; 53 ciudades planean convertirse en servicio completo de Southwest Airlines.

 

Southwest Airlines and AirTran Airways Confirm Plans to Maintain AirTran Airways Operations at 22 Domestic and International Airports

Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) and its wholly owned subsidiary AirTran Airways confirmed today the intent to convert AirTran Airways operations at 22 domestic and international airports to Southwest operations over time.
The 22 AirTran airports that will continue to operate and will eventually join the Southwest route map include Pensacola, Fla. (PNS), Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ), Cancun, Mexico (CUN), and San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU). AirTran service and Employees at these airports are planned to convert to Southwest gradually over the course of AirTran's integration into Southwest. The airlines earlier announced that AirTran will begin serving Mexico City, Mexico (MEX) on May 24, 2012, and San Jose Cabo, Mexico (SJD) on June 3, 2012. Those destinations also will convert to Southwest over time. Of the 69 cities AirTran served when Southwest acquired it on May 2, 2011, 53 cities are planned to convert to full Southwest Airlines service.
