DeFuniak Springs, Fla.- El Departamento de Seguridad de Carreteras y Vehiculos Motores anunció hoy cambios en la oficina de licencias de manejar del estado, 1045 US Highway 331, Unit B en DeFuniak Springs. Los servicios ahora serán limitados a transaciones de licencias de manejar que no requieran un exámen práctico.
     Además de reducir servicios el departamento cambiará las horas de operación de las 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., de lunes a viernes, y la oficina cerrará del mediodia hasta la 1:30 p.m., todos los dias.
     Para todos los otros servicios, los clientes pueden visitar otras oficinas en condados cercanos, incluyendo las que son atendidas por los recolectores de impuestos del condado. Visite www.flhsmv.gov/offices.
     Otra opción para el usuario es evitarse el viaje y hacer sus trámites para su licencia de manejar en linea en www.GoRenew.com. No hay recargo por usar la red.      La Florida ahora requiere documentos adicionales para obtener o refrendar la licencia de conducir o la tarjeta de identificación. Prepárese para su próxima visita llevando documentos originales para comprobar su identidad, Número del Seguro Social y dirección (dos documentos). DeFuniak Springs, Fla. – The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles today announced changes to the state-operated driver license office, at 1045 US Highway 331, Unit B in Defuniak Springs. Services now are limited to driver license transactions that do not require a driving skills test.
     In addition to scaling back services, the Department will change hours of operation at the Defuniak Springs office to 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday, and the office will close between noon and 1:30 p.m., daily.
     For all other driver license services, customers may visit driver license offices in nearby counties, including those operated by county tax collectors. Visit www.flhsmv.gov/offices for a complete list of office locations by county.
     Another option for customers is to skip the trip and conduct their driver license business online at www.GoRenew.com. There are no surcharges for using the Internet. If a customer has received notification from the Department that he will have to come into an office, he can make an appointment at www.flhsmv.gov/oasis.
     Florida now requires additional documents to obtain a new or renewed driver license or identification card. Prepare for your next visit by bringing original documents to show proof of identification, Social Security number and residential address (two items).
