Da el Primer Paso – Únete al registro de donantes |
Take the First Step – Join the Marrow Registry More than 10,000 patients in the U.S are diagnosed with leukemia or lymphoma every year and every day, thousands of patients with these life-threatening diseases hope for a marrow donor who can make their transplant possible. Seventy percent of patients do not have a donor in their family and they depend on people like you! At present, Hispanics represent only 10% of potential donors on the registry. Because tissue types are inherited, patients are most likely to match someone of their own race or ethnicity. People of every background are needed. Registry members from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds are especially needed, so every patient has a second chance at life. On 31 March and 1 April, 11am – 3pm at Uptown Station in Fort Walton Beach, a Dual Bone Marrow Donor Registration and Blood Drive will take place. The registry process is very simple! Please consider taking 20 minutes out of your day to register and/or donate blood. When you join the Be the Match Registry®, you become part of every patient’s search for a donor. You have the power to heal, the power to save a life. Take the first step, join the registry!
