Estudiantes se unen en Apoyo de Valedictorian enfrentando Deportación
North Miami, Fl.- Estudiantes de North Miami High School se han unido para protestar la deportación de valedictorian Daniela Pélaez.
     Después de complicaciones legales en su caso de inmigración, Daniela y su hermana Dayana, enfrentan deportación a su pais de origen, Colombia.    Daniela, quien es parte de un riguroso programa de imán dentro de su escuela ha sido muy clara sobre sus circumstancias.
     '' He vivido en los Estados Unidos desde que tenia 4 años. Mi familia me enseñó que con duro trabajo y dedicación una puede alcanzar cualquier cosa. Ahora, mientras enfrento ser deportada, no estoy segura del futuro que nos espera a mi hermana y a mi'' dijo Daniela. Las hermanas Pélaez vienen de una familia de status mixto. Su hermano ha servido en el U.S. Army, haciendo varias giras en Afganistán. Su padre es un residente permanente.
     El año pasado la administración de Obama anunció algunos cambios cosméticos en sus poliíticas de deportación, mencionando que ellos enforzarian deportaciones de ''baja prioridad'', en vez de casos de estudiantes como el de las hermanas Pélaez quienes podrian ser elegibes para beneficiarse del DreamAct (Acción de Sueños)
     ''Estamos haciendo todo lo que podemos para asegurar que la hermanas no sean deportadas. La administración de Obama no puede seguir jugando con las vidas de estudiantes, especialmente con indviduos valiosos tales como Daniela'' dijo Juan Escalante de DreamActivist Florida, una oganización en linea cuyo foco es ayudar a jóvenes inmigrantes.
     Los estudiantes de North Miami High School están planeando una caminata el Viernes 2 de Marzo pra demostrar su soporte para Daniela y su hermana. Los administradores de la escuela han apoyado a Daniela y están dipuestos a continuar empujando hasta que ella y su hermana sean concedidas asistencia.

North Miami, FL—Students from North Miami High School have come together to protest the deportation of valedictorian Daniela Pelaez.
     After legal complication within her immigration case, Daniela and her sister Dayana face deportation to their native Colombia. Daniela, who is part of a rigorous magnet program within her High School has been very vocal about her circumstances.
     “I have lived within the United States since the age of four. My family taught me that with hard work and dedication one could achieve anything. Now, as I face deportation, I am not entirely sure of the future that awaits me or my sister” said Daniela. The Pelaez sisters come from a mixed status family. Their brother has served in the US Army, touring Afghanistan several times. Their father is a permanent resident.
     Last year the Obama administration announced some cosmetic changed to their deportation policies, citing that they would focus on “low-priority” deportations, rather than those of students like the Pelaez sisters who would be eligible to benefit from the Dream Act.
     “We are doing everything we can to ensure that the siblings are not deported. The Obama administration cannot keep playing games with students lives, specially with valuable individuals such as Daniela” said Juan Escalante from DreamActivist Florida, an online organization that focuses on helping immigrant youth.
     Students from North Miami High School are planned a walk-out for Friday, March 2, to show their support for Daniela and her sister. School administrators have been very supportive of the class valedictorian and are ready to continue to push until she and her sister are granted relief.
