Celebración del Días de los Perros en el Parque Liza Jackson Park el 20 de Octubre
Mil y un perros no pueden estar equivocados! Estimamos que al menos ése será el número de perros que asistirán al Dog Daze 2012 (Días de los Perros del 2012), patrocinado por Petland, la celebración anual, en nuestra comunidad, de los perros y las familias que los aman. Y este año, hay un escenario nuevo y emocionante para este evento! Sí, es cierto - la fiesta de Dog Daze se trasladará al parque Liza Jackson Park (318 Miracle Strip Parkway en FWB), donde hay más espacio para las actividades de tema canino y más estacionamiento para las familias amantes de los perros.
Así que ponga la fecha en su calendario - es sábado, 20 de octubre en el parque Liza Jackson Park, de 9 am a 4 pm.
Este año habrá grandes y nuevas atracciones, incluyendo a los Collies de Fútbol de Ocala. Se invitan a los equipos locales de fútbol infantil (de 12 años y menores) a que entren en una competencia "mano a mano" (o más precisamente: "mano a pata") con los perros de ese talentoso equipo de fútbol canino. Los niños jugarán la posición portero y vamos a ver si los perros pueden anotar algún gol. De seguro habrá montón de acción y un montón de risas al verlos a tales atletas competir!
También habrá una nueva visita de los Pensacola Furricanes (Caninos Peludos, CaniPeludos, de Pensacola) , el equipo de Flyball (Pelota Voladora) que creó tanto revuelo en el evento del año pasado. Sus agilidades increíbles y sus energías sin límites mantuvieron a la gente fascinados. Es algo que no te puedes perder!
También habrá la misma combinación genial de juegos divertidos, concursos, vendedores de productos y servicios para perros, mascotas adoptables, y las carreras de dachshund (perros salchicha) - junto con un desfile de mascotas con un tema de Halloween. Así que saque su máquina de coser o pistola de pegamento y empiece a crear su sobresaliente traje de perro!
Dog Daze es el mayor evento en el calendario social de su perro - usted no puede defraudarlos! Todos los perros bien educados de más de 6 meses son bienvenidos - con el comprobante de vacunación. No hay ningún cargo para que la gente asista, pero los organizadores piden una donación de $ 3 por perro - parte de la recaudación se destinará a una causa digna y adecuada. Se reservan el derecho de expulsar a los perros que se portan mal.

Dog Daze to be Held on October 20 at Liza Jackson Park
 A thousand and one dogs can't be wrong! We figure that at least that many dogs will attend Dog Daze 2012, sponsored by Petland, our community’s annual celebration of dogs and the families who love them. There is an exciting new venue this year! Yes, that's right - Dog Daze festivities will move to Liza Jackson Park (318 Miracle Strip Parkway in FWB), where there's more room for canine-centered activities and more parking for dog-loving families.
So put the date on your calendar - that's Saturday, October 20, at Liza Jackson Park, from 9 am to 4 pm.
This year, there are some great new attractions, including the Soccer Collies from Ocala. Local kids’ soccer teams (12 and under) are invited to go head to head (or toe to paw) with these incredibly talented soccer dogs. As the kids play the goal keeper position, we’ll see if the dogs can score any goals. There’s sure to be lots of action and plenty of laughs as the athletes compete!
There’ll also be a return visit of the Pensacola Furricanes, the Flyball team that created such a stir at last year’s event. Their amazing agility and boundless energy kept the crowd spellbound. It’s something you don’t want to miss!
There will also be the same great combination of fun games, contests, dog-centered vendors, adoptable pets, and dachshund races – along with a pet parade with a Halloween theme. So pull out your sewing machine or glue gun and start creating your dog’s standout costume!
Dog Daze is the biggest event on your dog's social calendar – you can’t disappoint them! All well-behaved dogs over 6 months are welcome - with proof of vaccinations. There's no charge for people to attend, but the organizers do ask for a donation of $3 per dog - with part of the proceeds going to a suitable worthy cause. They reserve the right to eject dogs who misbehave.
