Capturan a Sospechoso de Intento de Asesinato
Un hombre buscado en el condado de Okaloosa, acusado de intento de asesinato, robo, y posesión de un arma de fuego por un criminal condenado ha sido detenido en el sur de Florida.
     Los investigadores de la Fuerza Anti Fugitivos de la Oficina del Sheriff del condado de Okaloosa han obtenido información acerca de Joe Fernández, de 36 años de edad, quien podía estar en el área de North Miami Beach.
     Su información fue transmitida a los miembros de la Fuerza Anti Fugitivos de los Alguaciles del Sur de Florida quienes le dieron seguimiento a la información y rastrearon a Fernández hasta una casa en el Norte de Miami Beach. Fernández inició un tiroteo con la policía en una lucha a pistola cerca del mediodía de hoy (30 de agosto) cuando trataba de eludirlos. Fernández recibió un disparo y fue trasladado a un hospital de Miami para recibir tratamiento. Ningún agente resultó herido. Él se enfrentará a una acusación de intento de asesinato de un oficial de la ley.
     Una chica de 21-años de edad, Keira Bethune de Fort Walton Beach se encuentraba con Fernández y resultó ilesa.
     Fernández está acusado de dispararle a Tamera Sheffield, de 21 años de edad, el 1 de agosto en la intersección de Thornhill Road y la Avenida South en Fort Walton Beach. Ella dice que él manejó hasta su casa en la calle Thornhill, le pidió prestado dinero, y luego exigió más dinero en efectivo. Cuando ella se negó, él le disparó varias veces y luego se volvió a subir al coche y huyó. Sheffield sobrevivido.

Attempted Murder Suspect Captured
A man wanted in Okaloosa County on charges of attempted murder, robbery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon has been apprehended in south Florida. Investigators with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Task Force had developed information that 36-year old Joe Fernandez may be in the North Miami Beach area. Their information was passed along to members of the U.S. Marshals South Florida Fugitive Task Force. Officers following up on the information tracked Fernandez to a home in North Miami Beach. Fernandez engaged police in a gunfight around noon today (August 30th) as he tried to elude them. Fernandez was shot and was taken to a Miami hospital for treatment. No officers were injured. He will face a charge of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.
21-year-old Keira Bethune of Fort Walton Beach was located with Fernandez and was unharmed.
Fernandez is accused of shooting 21-year old Tamera Sheffield on August 1 at the intersection of Thornhill Road and South Avenue in Fort Walton Beach. She says he drove to her home on Thornhill Road, asked to borrow money, and then demanded cash. When she refused, he shot her multiple times then got back into the car and fled. Sheffield survived.
