Gulf Power les pide a los residentes que estén en alerta por fraudes telefónicos
Estafadores han victimizado residentes el Noroeste de Florida (Northwest Florida) recientemente al impresionar a empleados de la compañía.
     Alguien impresionando a un empleado de Gulf Power contacto a un residente por teléfono. La persona que llamo  le dijo a la víctima que la factura eléctrica estaba vencida y que la electricidad seria cortada si el cliente no proveí un número de tarjeta de crédito inmediatamente. Los números de la tarjeta después fueron usados para hace compras fraudulentas.
     Para prevenir que esto te pase a ti, por favor recuerda lo siguiente:
· Empleados de Gulf Power  nunca llamaran a un cliente para pedir cualquier información personal incluyendo números de tarjetas de crédito.
· Representadores de Gulf Power nunca preguntaran por dinero cuando visiten a un cliente.
· Todos los representadores de Gulf Power traen consigo mismos una identificación con su foto que incluye el nombre del empleado y el nombre de la compañía y su logotipo.
     Clientes deberían llamar a Gulf Power al 1-800-225-5797 si tienen alguna duda sobre la identidad de alguien representando a Gulf Power.
     Gulf Power está trabajando con autoridades locales para identificar a los autores del crimen. Si alguien ha sido víctima de uno de los estafadores, o tiene cualquier información sobre los sospechosos, se les pide que marquen al autoridades locales y a Gulf Power al 1-800-225-5797.

Telephone Scams
Scam artists have victimized residents in Northwest Florida recently by impersonating utility company employees.
     Someone impersonating a Gulf Power employee contacted a resident by telephone. The caller told the victim that their electric bill was past due and that electricity would be cut off if the customer did not provide a credit card payment immediately. The card numbers were then used to make fraudulent purchases.
     To prevent this from happening to you, please remember the following:
· Gulf Power employees will never call a customer at home seeking any personal information including credit card numbers.
· Gulf Power representatives will never ask a customer for money when they visit a residence.
· All Gulf Power representatives carry badges with picture identification that includes the employee’s name and the company’s name and logo.
     Customers should call Gulf Power at 1-800-225-5797 if they have any questions about the identity of anyone representing Gulf Power.
     Gulf Power is working with local law enforcement agencies to identify the perpetrators. If anyone has been victimized by one of these schemes, or has any information about suspects, they are asked to call local law enforcement and to contact Gulf Power at 1-800-225-5797.
