| Humane Society of Pensacola ofrece Mantenimiento Económico de Mascotas el 18 de Mayo La Humane Society de Pensacola continúa su programa de Baños para Perros durante el 2013. El programa ofrece baños para perros a bajo costo, asi como corte de pelo, corte de uñas y baño contra pulgas durante la temporada cálida. Los eventos tienen lugar cada tercer sabado del mes, desde Abril hasta Octubre de las 9 am hasta las 2 pm y el resto de los eventos están programados para Mayo 18, Junio 15, Julio 20, Agosto 17, Septiembre 21 y Octubre 19. El precio está basado en el peso del perro. Los servicios son, los primeros primero. "Los dueños de mascotas están tratando de encontrar maneras asequibles para cuidar y mantener a sus mascotas," dice Monie Russo, coordinador voluntario de HSOP. "Nuestros Baños para Perros dan a las personas una oportunidad conveniente y barata para mantener a sus mascotas limpias, saludables y libres de pestes.¨ Además de proveer un servicio a los amos de mascotas, los Baños son una importante actividad para recaudar fondos para la Humane Society, proveyendo una porción substancial de las entradas del refugio. Low Cost Pet Grooming at Humane Society of Pensacola, May 18 The Humane Society of Pensacola continues its Bathe-In schedule for 2013. The Bathe-Ins offer low-cost dog bathing, grooming, nail clipping and flea dips during the warm weather season. Events are held every third Saturday of the month April through October from 9 am until 2 pm and the remaining events are scheduled for May 18, June 15, July 20, August 17, September 21 and October 19. Charges for baths and groomings are based on the dog’s weight. Groomings are done on a first-come, first-served basis. “Pet owners are trying to find affordable ways to care for and keep their pets,” says Monie Russo, volunteer coordinator of HSOP. “Our Bathe-Ins give people a convenient and inexpensive opportunity to keep their pets clean, healthy and pest free.” In addition to providing a service to pet owners, the Bathe-ins are an important fundraising activity for the Humane Society, providing a substantial portion of the shelter’s revenue. The events are run by shelter staff and volunteers. New volunteers and experienced groomers and nail clippers are always needed.
