Gulf Power les pide a sus clientes que estén en alerta por fraudes por teléfono
Gulf Power está alertando a sus clientes estafadores los cuales llaman a residentes y negocios en Noroeste de Florida impresionando a empleados de la compañía.      
     A los clientes se les dice que su pago no se ha hecho  y que su electricidad será terminada si no proveen un pago con una tarjeta de crédito u otras formas de pago inmediato.
     Gulf Power aconseja que:

• Empleados de Gulf Power nunca llaman a los hogares de sus clientes pidiendo información personal, incluyendo los números de tarjetas de crédito.  
• Representantes de Gulf Power nunca les pedirá a sus clientes por dinero cuando visiten una residencia.  
• Todos los representantes de Gulf Power traen identificaciones con fotografía en la cual indica su nombre, el nombre y el logo de la compañía.     

Clientes deberían llamar a Gulf Power al 1-800-225-5797 si tienen cualquier pregunta sobre la identidad de  cualquier represéntate de Gulf Power.
     Gulf Power está trabajando con policía local para identificar a los estafadores. Si alguien ha sido víctima de estos fraudes, o tienen información sobre los sospechosos, se les pido que llamen a la policía local y a Gulf Power al 1-800-225-5797.

Gulf Power Asks customers to be alert for telephone scams
Gulf Power is warning customers that scam artists are calling residents and businesses in Northwest Florida impersonating utility company employees.
     Customers are being told their electric bill is past due and that their electricity will be cut off if the customer does not provide a credit card payment or other forms of immediate payment.
     Gulf Power advises customers that:

• Gulf Power employees will never call a customer at home seeking any personal information, including credit card numbers.
• Gulf Power representatives will never ask a customer for money when they visit a residence.
• All Gulf Power representatives carry badges with picture identification that includes the employee’s name and the company’s name and logo.

     Customers should call Gulf Power at 1-800-225-5797 if they have any questions about the identity of anyone representing Gulf Power.
     Gulf Power is working with local law enforcement agencies to identify the perpetrators. If anyone has been victimized by one of these schemes, or has any information about suspects, they are asked to call local law enforcement and to contact Gulf Power at 1-800-225-5797.
