Distrito Escolar del Condado de Escambia Establece una Línea Gratuita de Fraude
A partir del 8 de noviembre de 2013 el Distrito Escolar del Escambia County está poniendo en marcha una tercera parte el fraude, desperdicio y abuso línea directa. Si alguien observa una situación dentro del distrito que parece implicar fraude, despilfarro, abuso , robo ó actividades ilegales, se les anima a hacer una denuncia llamando a la línea gratuita 1-855-819-1248 ó ir a la herramienta de información en línea en https://www.reportlineweb.com/escambia. Los individuos no estarán obligados a proporcionar su nombre al llamar a la línea directa. Al realizar una llamada, se alienta a las personas a proporcionar tanta información como sea posible sobre el abuso. La línea de ayuda está disponible 24 horas al día y 7 días a la semana.
     El Superintendente Thomas comentó "El Distrito Escolar se compromete a mantener altas expectativas para la conducta ética entre sus empleados. El establecimiento de esta línea servirá como una herramienta para proporcionar el apoyo necesario para mantener la integridad del distrito con los contribuyentes".
     "La mayoría de fraude, derroche y abuso que se detectaron y denunciaron lo general proviene de fuentes internas. Este establecimiento de un fraude, desperdicio y abuso en línea directa para el Distrito Escolar del Escambia  County, donde las personas pueden denunciar anónimamente irregularidades sin temor a represalias, tendrá un impacto tremendamente positivo en la reducción de la actividad fraudulenta, ilegal - que en última instancia resultará en una mejor protección de los activos de los contribuyentes", comentó Jeff Bergosh, Presidente de la Junta.

 

 Escambia County School District Establishes a Fraud Hotline
Effective November 8, 2013, the Escambia County School District is launching a third party fraud, waste, and abuse hotline.  If anyone observes a situation within the district that appears to involve fraud, waste, abuse, theft or illegal activities, they are encouraged to make a report by calling toll-free 1-855-819-1248 or go to the online reporting tool at https://www.reportlineweb.com/escambia.  Individuals will not be required to provide their name when calling the hotline.  When placing a call, individuals are encouraged to provide as much information as possible about the abuse.  The hotline is available 24 hours per day/7 days a week.
     Superintendent Thomas remarked “The School District is committed to upholding high expectations for the ethical conduct among its employees.  The establishment of this hotline will serve as a tool to provide the support necessary to maintain the district’s integrity with taxpayers.” 
"The majority of fraud, waste and abuse that is detected and reported typically comes from inside sources.  This establishment of a fraud, waste, and abuse hotline for the Escambia County School District, where individuals can anonymously report wrongdoing without the fear of retribution, will have a tremendously positive impact in curbing fraudulent, unlawful activity--which will ultimately result in better protection of taxpayer assets" commented Jeff Bergosh, Board Chair.
