Mobile Consulate of Mexico Visits Pensacola On November 16 and 17, the Mobile Consulate of Mexico came to Pensacola to provide services to Mexican nationals. The event took place at the new Woodland Heights Community Center. Approximately 330 people were served by the Mobile Consulate, and the processors providing the services included Consul Efrén Leyva himself. “This was a very good event,” Leyva said. “Almost everyone was prepared with the necessary documents necessary to provide the services that they needed.” Clients who came from areas in Alabama and as far as Panama City agreed that the event ran smoothly. “I’ve never had such a good experience in coming to see the Consulate,” one woman said. “The workers were all very nice and treated us with respect. I’m very glad that I came.” Another unexpected visitor was the City of Pensacola’s Mayor Ashton Hayward who also met with Consul Leyva and his staff at City Hall prior to the event. “I hope to return to Pensacola to discuss other matters such as tourism and trade,” said Consul Leyva during the meeting with the mayor. Mayor Hayward also stopped by the Mobile Consulate event as clients’ passports and identification cards were processed. Leyva and his staff visited the National Naval Aviation Museum at Naval Air Station (N.A.S.) Pensacola during their visit. |
