Soldados Estacionados Localmente Perecen en Afganistán
Dos soldados del grupo Seventh Special Forces de Eglin Air Force en Fort Walton Beach fallecieron en Afghanistan esta semana.
     El Departamento de Defensa comunicó que el Sargento Richard Vásquez falleció el miércoles 13 de Noviembre, después que su unidad fué atacada con un objeto explosivo improvisado (IED) Improvised Explosive Devise en la Provincia de Panjwai.
     Vásquez tenia 28 años y su fmilia es originaria de Seguin, Texas. Esta era su quinta misión. Lo sobreviven sus pades y cuatro hermanos.
     El Sargento Alex Viola falleció ayer. El fué alcanzado por un IED mientras patrullaba en la Provincia de Kandahar.
Viola tenia 29 años. Es sobrevivido por sus padres y una hermana que vive en Fort Worth, Tx. Esta era su primer misión desde su enlistamiento en 2009.
     Los dos estaban asignados al Tercer Batallón de la Compañia B.
     Nuestro más sentido pésame al Séptimo grupo, el cual tiene muchos amigos en esta área de la Florida.

 
Soldiers Stationed Locally Killed in Afghanistan
Two soldiers from the Seventh Special Forces group at Eglin Air Force in Ft. Walton Beach were killed in Afghanistan this week.
     The Defense Department says staff Sergeant Richard Vazquez was killed on Wednesday, Nov. 13, after his unit was attacked with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the Panjwai Province.
     Vazquez was 28 years old. His family is from Seguin, Tex. (live in LA) This was his 5th deployment. He is survived by his parents and four siblings.
     Staff Sergeant Alex Viola died yesterday. He was hit by an IED while on patrol in Kandahar Province.
     Viola was 29 years old. He is survived by his parents and a sister who live in Fort Worth. This was his first deployment since enlisting in 2009.
     Both men were assigned to Company B, 3rd Battalion. Our deepest sympathy to the 7th who have many friends here in this area of Florida.
