Cowboys Reestructuran Acuerdo con Romo
Irving, TX-El quarterback de los Dallas Cowboys Tony Romo  fue reestructurado el miércoles la liberación de aproximadamente $13 millones en espacio salarial para esta temporada.
     Los Cowboys no tenían suficiente dinero el mes pasado para contratar los servicios del corredor DeMarco Murray campeón de la NFL del 2014. Chip Kelly  de los Eagles de Philadelphia quiene a principios negociaron conLeSean McCoy de los Buffalo Bills, y se abalansaron y ofrecieron a Murray un contrato de cinco años por, $42 millones.
     Romo indicó en una entrevista radial el martes que iba a reestructurar su contrato y también dijo que estaba dispuesto a aceptar una reducción salarial para que el equipo pudiera volver a firmar a Murray.
     "DeMarco terminó preguntándome: '¿Por qué no te tomas un recorte salarial? Le dije: 'Lo are. Me gustaría tomar un recorte salarial que ir a hacer esto' ", dijo Romo. "Yo estaba como, 'Ellos me van a reestructurar. Eso es lo mismo, en cierto modo, sólo a los efectos de tope salarial. Era como, 'OK, ahora volveremos ser amigos otra vez.' Me gustaría tener $5.000.000 menos si eso significaba conseguir que vuelva.
     "Él lo sabía. Era divertido cómo estaba, literalmente, preocupado acerca de esa parte durante una semana. Yo soy como, 'Esa no es la razón." Estoy como, 'Obviamente voy a reestructurar. Incluso me atrevería a aceptar una reducción salarial. Era como, 'OK, podemos ser amigos de nuevo.' Es increíble lo que piensas acerca de esos momentos ".
     La reestructuración completa de Romo deja suficiente espacio bajo el tope salarial para el apoyador Rolando McClain, quien aceptó un contrato de un año el miércoles, y deja dinero para los Cowboys para firmar sus selecciones de borrador y, posiblemente, hacer otras adiciones de agente libre si es necesario.
     El espacio añadido en el tope salarial también hará ambiente por más dinero que se podría deber al defensa Greg Hardy si cumple la lista de los incentivos de desempeño en su contrato por un año.
     Romo se creó para hacer un sueldo base de $17 millones en 2015 y cuenta una NFL- alta $27.773 millones contra el tope salarial. Pero a los Cowboys bajó su salario base para 2015 a 1 millón de dólares mediante la conversión de los restantes $16 millones debido a de Romo en un bono por firmar. Tapa de golpe de Romo se incrementará en un $3,2 millones en los próximos cuatro años.

 Cowboys restructure Romo's deal
Irving, TX—The Dallas Cowboys restructured quarterback Tony Romo's contract on Wednesday, freeing up roughly $13 million in cap space for this season.
     The Cowboys did not have enough money last month to retain the services of 2014 NFL rushing champion DeMarco Murray. Chip Kelly's Philadelphia Eagles, who earlier traded LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills, swooped in and gave Murray a five-year, $42 million contract.
     Romo indicated in a radio interview Tuesday he was going to restructure his contract and also said he was willing to take a pay cut so the team could re-sign Murray.
     "DeMarco ended up asking me, 'Why don't you take a pay cut?' I said, 'I will. I would take a pay cut to go do this,'" Romo said. "I was like, 'They're going to restructure me.' That's the same thing in some ways, just for the salary cap purposes. He was like, 'OK, now we're back to being friends again.' I would take $5 million less if it meant getting him back.
     "He knew that. It was just funny how he was literally worried about that part of it for a week. I'm like, 'That's not the reason.' I'm like, 'Obviously I'll restructure. I would even take a pay cut.' He was like, 'OK, we can be friends again.' It's amazing what you think about in those moments."
     The full Romo restructure clears enough salary cap space for linebacker Rolando McClain, who agreed to a one-year deal on Wednesday, and frees up money for the Cowboys to sign their draft picks and possibly make other free agent additions if needed.
     The additional salary cap space will also make room for more money that could be owed to defensive end Greg Hardy if he meets roster and performance incentives in his one-year contract.
     Romo was set to make a base salary of $17 million in 2015 and count an NFL- high $27.773 million against the salary cap. But the Cowboys lowered his base salary for 2015 down to about $1 million by converting the remaining $16 million owed to Romo into a signing bonus. Romo's cap hit will increase by about $3.2 million over the next four years.
     Ironically, disgruntled Vikings running back Adrian Peterson -- rumored to be sought by Dallas and known to be unhappy with Minnesota -- is set to earn a base salary of $12.75 million this season.
